2017 Girls Tennis Tryout Information

The 2017 school year is just around the corner and so is another year of Girls Tennis!  I'm thrilled to be back running both programs, and look forward to the upcoming Fall Girls Tennis Season and Spring Boys Tennis Season.

Below is all the information you will need to be prepared for Athletic Clearances and Tryouts.

GIRLS FALL TENNIS INFORMATION
The 2017 Girls Tennis Program will consist of both a JV and Varsity Team.
  • The Varsity Team will consist of 10 players
  • The JV Team will consist of  8 players.
Tryout Information:
Tryouts will consist of a 2 day evaluation period in which players are assessed on their skills and match play.  Players MUST attend both days of tryouts in order to be considered for the team.

Tryout Dates & Time:
Day #1 - Thursday, August 24th - 3:30pm - 5:00pm - AHS Tennis Courts
Day #2 - Friday, August 25th - 3:30pm - 5:00pm - AHS Tennis Courts

In order to tryout for the team all players must have their athletic clearances COMPLETED.  If you have not done so yet, please complete the registration process using the following LINK - http://www.agouraathletics.org/main/otherad/contentID/39931787

Other Important Times & Dates
Parents and Athletes Workshops:
Wednesday, August 30th 6pm-8pm
Parents- Performing Arts Center
Athletes- GYM

Attendance at the coaches workshop is mandatory for all coaches.  Please share with your staff.  The goal of partnering with PCA is to ensure we are aware of best practices today and that we are equipped to handle the challenges of coaching(an unmotivated athlete, an athlete that is a distraction, an upset parent).

Attendance for parents and athletes is mandatory.  Prior to PCA taking over at the parent and athlete workshops, we will welcome everyone to the 2017-2018 school year and share all important AHS, CIF, and NCAA information to ensure student-athlete success.  Rather than host parent/athlete nights for each season, the meetings on August 30th will be for athletes and parents for all sports.

I look forward to seeing you all out there for tryouts!
